Say hello to G&W’s October employee spotlight feature, Jeanne Walk. Jeanne is G&W Engineering’s Office Manager and has been with the company for over two years. From front desk duties, to preparing specifications and documents for delivery and planning office events, Jeanne does it all!

Q: What is your favorite part about working at G&W?

  • Our G & W staff, our clients and the projects we work on. In my position as Office Manager I wear a variety of hats and each day is different and that makes it a fun place to work.

Q: When you are not working, what do you enjoy to do in your free time?

  • Attending Automotive Shows & Events. I am a member and the Merchandise Coordinator for the Gateway Camaro Club and we attend many events to benefit local charities and fund raisers. I am also a member of Goodguy’s Rod & Customs and NSRA (National Street Rod Association).

Q: What is something you would like to learn to do?

  • A CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Designer – You can design prototyping and full production cutting, machining and milling of wood, plastic, foam and aluminum. The equipment and technology have created an unlimited platform available to design products from raw materials and into a functioning product.

Q: Why did you choose engineering?

  • I started my career after college in the Architecture/Engineering field and I like this type of work, the variety of projects and the people. The Engineering field continues to evolve and you are continually learning and refreshing your skills and knowledge - you are being challenged.

Q: What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?

  • Family & Friends – I enjoy being around people and it is nice to share activities and events with the special people in your life.
