G&W is excited to highlight Emily Schell, CAD/BIM Technician, in the February Employee Spotlight. With an English degree from the University of Illinois, Emily moved to Seoul, South Korea for four years, teaching English as a Foreign Language. Upon her return to the States, Emily enrolled in Ranken for Electrical Design and joined the G&W family in June of 2018.
What is your favorite part about working at G&W?
The atmosphere and the people.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Traveling, watching movies, spending time outside, being with family and friends.
Why did you choose Engineering?
I’ve always been interested in STEM, but didn’t get the courage to pursue it until after I had been in the work force in teaching and non-profit work for several years.
If given a chance, who would you be for a day and why?
Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She’s fought so hard for justice her entire life and I admire her so much.
