If you have not read Start With Why by Simon Sinek, I highly recommend it! We all do things for a reason, and we all have a purpose in life. Knowing what that purpose is and embracing it is the key to a successful life…in my humble opinion.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital was hoping to fund a MIBG therapy center here in St. Louis. The MIBG therapy is a highly concentrated and highly focused radiation treatment that helps children fight rare forms of cancer. There are only 13 hospitals around the country that can provide this therapy, so local kids in the region currently have to travel to Chicago, Nashville, or Denver to receive treatments. This is not easy for families with sick kids!
Constructing a MIBG therapy center is not cheap. The price tag is well over $1 Million dollars. However, the commitment made by the World Record Baseball Game was the funding catalyst that set the project in motion. Bringing this type of therapy treatment to our region will have a HUGE impact on the families and children fighting cancer. In fact, there is already a list of kids waiting for the completion of the MIBG center here in St. Louis, so they can receive treatment.
