September's Employee Spotlight recognizes Darrell Jacobs. He wears many hats at G&W; therefore, putting just one title behind his name doesn't describe the value Darrell brings to the team. He is a true leader in the office and in the community. When not at work or with his family, he can be found volunteering at Good Shepard School, JDRF, St. Clare, or other charitable causes.
What is your favorite part about working at G&W?
The people! We have the best team in town and I enjoy working together and helping others accomplish their goals. Whether those are professional goals or personal goals, it’s all about making a difference and helping others achieve more.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy my family. My beautiful wife and awesome kids make me happy. They are my “Why”, and I always try to be there for them. I also enjoy spending time with friends and drinking Center Ice Beer. If you haven’t tried Center Ice Brewery… you are missing out!
Where is your favorite place to be?
Almost anywhere… really! To me, it’s not about where I am, but who I’m with that makes the difference. If I have my family with me, I’m HOME.
What is something about yourself that might be surprising?
I am getting ready to play in the 2019 World Record Baseball Game (WRBG) to raise money for the Oncology Department and MIGB Therapy at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. We will play baseball for 80 hours straight over the Memorial Day Weekend. I hope to raise $12,000 for the event, I encourage everyone reading this to help support the Siteman Kids!
