August is back to school time as our interns return back to Mizzou and Butler this fall. It’s also the start of Friday Night Lights and we are excited to announce the addition of four new team members to our lineup! As we hustle at home to get the “team” lined up for this back to school season, we are doing the same at G&W Engineering.
This month we are celebrating five birthdays. Happy Birthday to Amanda B., Melanie K., Kevin G., Robert L., Marcus E., and last but not least, Shane H.! This month we are also celebrating over 107 years of combined experience with work anniversaries of Mike W., Kevin G., Julie R., Wind F., Tom D., and Jeanne W.! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
Another G&W victory goes to Darrel Jacobs for beating out contender Shane Harris in the G&W Weight Loss Challenge. Over the course of 60 days, they lost 69.1 pounds and 14.7% body weight. The winner donated his winnings to Kidstruction!
In addition to the Kidstruction weight loss donation employees came together and donated $945 to Kidstruction. G&W generously matched their donation, totaling a donation of $1890!! In other #GWgives news, we participated in the McCarthy Charity softball tournament, proudly coming in at last place (or second to last). Since we couldn’t win in softball we are trying our hand at beating out cancer by supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor St. Louis Ride on August 19th. You will also find #GWgives at the upcoming JDRF walk.
