Employee Spotlight | Terry T.
G&W is featuring one of our engineers, Terry T. this May. Terry graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and has been with G&W for almost a year now! When Terry was asked to describe his typical work day, he responded with,” BUSY! But I mean that in a good way! I usually have a few different projects on my plate. Between work and coordinating with team members the day goes pretty quick.”
Q: Why did you choose engineering?
Ever since I was a kid I have had an interest in how things are made and how they work. Once I learned that this was one of the main duties of an engineer, I knew that is what I wanted to be.
Q: What is something about yourself that might be surprising?
I used to take Taekwondo lessons; I earned my first black belt at 11.
Q: When you are not working, what do you enjoy to do in your free time?
I enjoy being active, whether it’s lifting weights or playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.
Q: What is your favorite part about working at G&W?
I love how helpful everyone is. It’s pretty busy around here but no one hesitates to stop what they are doing and help me get going in the right direction.
Q: What is something you would like to learn to do?
At some point I would like to get into aviation. I had a couple teachers that flew small engine planes in their free time and it seems like a cool hobby.
