G&W employee, Dustin Scheller and family, are raising funds to provide a new playground structure in honor of their daughter Allison Ann.
"In 2012, my wife and I lost our second daughter, Allison, at one day old to a rare chromosomal abnormality called Trisomy 13" Scheller said.
Allison would be starting kindergarten this coming fall, so Scheller and his wife met with the Hamel Elementary principal to brainstorm and create a project in Allison's honor for the school.
The Scheller's decided a new and updated playground structure would be a permanent, lasting and much needed update that they would love to provide for the school.
"The new playground equipment would bring joy to the kids that would be our Allison's classmates and friends who attend Hamel Elementray for years to come." Scheller said.
The Schellers have started a "gofundme" page and hope to finish the campaign by the beginning of May so the new playground can be installed by the fall. You can help contribute to this project by donating to the Allison's Playground Project "gofundme" page linked below!
