G&W Announce Owner Transition

G&W Engineering is happy to announce that Kevin Griesemer, one of G&W’s founding principals, has transitioned to 100% ownership of G&W Engineering. This announcement follows G&W Engineering’s 25th anniversary.

Mike Williams, co-founder and principal, will continue with G&W by training and mentoring employees in the G&W process. Williams will also provide quality control on projects and continue to develop business opportunities with key clients.

“Mike has been a great business partner. His depth of knowledge, passion for excellence, practicality of system/product application and attention to constructability are unmatched in our industry. He strives for perfection and loves the production side of our business.” – Kevin Griesemer

Griesemer started his engineering education at Missouri S&T (University of Missouri - Rolla) receiving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management, with a preference in Mechanical Engineering, and a Communications Minor.

After graduation, Griesemer became a sales engineer who worked with engineers and contractors on product design and application. From there, the decision was made to continue his education by attending SIUE. While a student, Griesemer accepted a part time position as a Project Engineer, but quickly transitioned to a fulltime employee. This transition led Griesemer to pursue his professional engineering licensure.

Griesemer and Williams met on a project in 1991. Although never meeting prior, the two kept in touch throughout the project and began discussing plans of teaming up after the project was completed. In 1992, Griesemer’s vision of owning and operating his own company became reality. It was then when he partnered with Williams in the formation of G&W Engineering. “It was truly a leap of faith for both of us,” Griesemer stated.

Fast forward 25 years later and G&W Engineering has become one of the most trusted engineering firms in the Midwest.

“I am proud to have accomplished so much with G&W in the last 25 years. While occupying a new role in the company, I am very excited to stay involved with the continued growth of G&W Engineering.” – Mike Williams

Griesemer plans to build upon the company’s past successes and continue growing the organization. He will concentrate on the following:

  • Ensure the company’s core values are demonstrated in the operation of the organization.

  • Develop key relationships and strategic partners

  • Effectuate a vivid vision in all associates while maintaining a great culture.

  • Create a positive impact on the project team members and our community.

  • Validate we are providing value to our clients.

“We have an amazing foundation to build upon and the future of G&W Engineering looks incredibly bright.” – Kevin Griesemer
