September Updates

September 8, 2017

As August comes to an end and September is in full swing, it’s officially time for G&W’s monthly employee lunch meeting. G&W has set up monthly lunches with our employees to discuss everything from good news an employee would like to share, to company updates from the past month, to our #GWgives campaign.

G&W has found this to be a great way to not only keep our employees informed with company updates, but to ensure time to collaborate and engage with one another.

This month, G&W is eager to share with you a few topics we enjoyed discussing during our monthly lunch.

First and foremost, we would like to recognize our employee anniversaries. A huge congratulations is in order to Bryan McDaniel for being with G&W for 19 years, Dan Walsh for 16 years, Tyler Henke for 2 years, and Dustin Scheller for 1 year!

We would also like to share our employee birthday’s this month. We will be celebrating both Terry Taborn Jr, and Dan Walsh this September!

There are several organizations the #GWgives team is proud to be a supporter of that have local events happening in the near future.

One of those organizations is The Joshua Chamberlain Society. On September 9th, 2017, The Joshua Chamberlain Society will be hosting their 9th annual Shoot for the Troops. G&W is proud to have gathered a team to participate in this fun event, and to sponsor a station as well.

G&W will also be participating and raising funds towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF will be hosting their annual One Walk October 1st, 2017 to help fund research towards Type 1 Diabetes. As proud supporters, G&W will be sponsoring a water station during the one and three mile walk.

Along with our annual participation; we are excited to add an additional organization this year, Canstruction. Canstruction is a charity art exhibit/event featuring structures made by volunteer teams. The catch is that the structure must be made completely out of cans of food. After the event, all cans will be donated to local hunger relief organizations.

G&W is excited to put a team together and tackle this fun task for a good cause. Build day will be held October 21st, 2017. Let the planning begin!
