G&W Engineering served as the Engineer for the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing system design of a 5,600-square-foot branch facility for Gesa Credit Union in Kennewick, Wash. The new building features a unique circular front with a standing seam metal roof and lobby clear height of 22 feet, as well as a free-standing drive-up facility; all of which provides great presence on the site and are distinctive in the area. G&W designed the new branch with sustainable strategies to achieve certification in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Green Building Rating System. Sustainable items include: water saving fixtures which reduce consumption by 45%, energy efficient systems which decrease electric use by 22% and decrease gas use by 43%, eco-friendly refrigerants, over 75% natural lighting in occupied spaces and over 90% outdoor views in occupied spaces.
